Thank you for your interest in the Early College Program! This application is for the Spring 2024 Semester only. Complete the application steps below to enroll. MCC spring enrollment begins the first week of November 2023. Application deadline December 15, 2023.
The application for the 2024-2025 school year will open December 18th, 2023.
ENROLLMENT STEPS
Speak with your high school counselor to determine if the Early College Program is a good fit for you.
Step 1-MCC Application: Click the link to complete the free, online application for Metropolitan Community College at https://mcckc.edu/apply-now/ . Students will receive a MCC ID# within 2 business days after completing the application via email (email address submitted in the application).
Step 2- ECP Application: Click the link to complete and submit the LSR7 Early College Program application
Step 3- Course Placement: New! Students with a 4 semester GPA of 3.0 or higher are not required to have placement test scores to enroll in classes that do not requiring a math prerequisite. Students with a 4 semester GPA of 3.3 or higher and have successfully completed Algebra II are allowed to enroll in MATH 120-College Algebra and MATH 115-Statistics.
Minimum GPA requirement = 2.5. Students with a GPA of 2.5-2.94 will need to complete the ACT or Accuplacer Test. Test details can be found below. Click on the links for more information.
Placement Testing: Provide a copy of your ACT scores or completed ACCUPLACER placement scores. (The ACCUPLACER is available on a walk-in based at MCC-Longview.)
Testing Center hours can be found on the MCC website or call 816-604-2434. Please note, you must have a MCC ID# (received after you apply) and a picture ID to test. Visit the ACCUPLACER site for recommended test preparation resources.
Required ACT Scores: ENGL - 18; READ -18; MATH - 22 (required for math, economics, and chemistry classes).

Required ACCULPLACER scores: Test into ENGL 101, Read 100 or above and MATH 120 (required for math, economics, and chemistry classes).
Step 4:
Meet with Erin Barnett, ECP Coordinator, to discuss MCC class registration.
Step 5
Attend the Early College Program Orientation (TBD).
Step 6:
Make tuition payment arrangements. The first payment for the spring semester is due December 15, 2023
